Making a difference at Sorrento Beach.

Every season, Sorrento SLSC volunteers give thousands of hours to keep our beach safe and our community connected.

What we do

Beach Patrol: Our trained volunteers patrol Sorrento Beach every weekend from October to April, providing aquatic rescue, first aid, and emergency response. Patrol teams hold nationally recognised qualifications and operate under Surf Life Saving WA.

Woodside Nippers: Our junior program introduces children aged 5-13 to beach and ocean safety in a structured, fun environment. Nippers builds water confidence, physical literacy, and a lifelong relationship with the ocean.

Dolphin Program: Our all-abilities program runs every Saturday morning during the season, providing children and adults with additional needs the opportunity to participate in surf lifesaving activities in a safe, supported environment.

Silver Salties: A free participation program for older Australians, promoting physical activity, social connection, and involvement in the surf lifesaving community. Education & Training: Sorrento SLSC delivers nationally recognised qualifications including the Surf Rescue Certificate, Bronze Medallion, and a range of first aid and advanced lifesaving awards – building community safety capability beyond our own membership.
