Silver Salties

Silver Salties is for older Australians who want to stay active, stay connected, and stay part of the beach community they love. At Sorrento SLSC, our Silver Salties program brings together members aged 65 and over for a mix of gentle beach and water activities, social time at the club, and the simple pleasure of being part of something that matters.

Silver Salties are now formally part of the Sorrento Surf Life Saving Club Constitution!

What does becoming a constitutional program mean?

✅ We now have a formal committee and membership class
✅ Easier access to local, state and federal government funding
✅ Options for insurance and facility access (like changerooms and showers)
✅ More ways for Silver Salties to be involved in the club – from volunteering to gaining awards!

How you can get involved

We offer flexibility so you can participate at whatever level suits you:

☕ Just want a coffee and a chat?
No problem! No membership needed.

🏊 Want to swim and use changerooms/showers on activity days?
Grab a Silver Salties Membership – $95/year (includes insurance).

🚿 Want access to changerooms/showers all week?
Choose a General Volunteer Membership – $140/year.
